gemini moon: inconsistent and will not hesitate to hurt you with their words. The other twin will come out if provoked. If they don’t feel like doing something, they won’t do it, regardless of how you feel. Defensive and they know they are smart so if you make them feel stupid - you will be struck HEAVILY with a reality check lol
cancer moon: sensitive to the point of ….. Insanity.. Like are you even a human? Their affability can build you but they can also be just as cruel. Sometimes the world is not nice to them, so they focus on this, and make sure they give their bullshit back into the world :) thank you and please go to counselling!
leo moon: as they have learnt to be proud of themselves, they expect everyone to lean into their desires and wishes. Everyone has to reflect and work on themselves - you are not the only one! The world will not dim your light as much as your own stubbornness will.

They will believe their own lies to spite you as it makes them feel more intelligent.
libra moon: genuinely scared of being alone. Can not be with their own thoughts for more than 0.3 seconds so they will consume anything that helps them block their thoughts. sagittarius moon: bullheaded and disrespectful to anyone that doesn’t see life the way they do. They will step on you to reach their own desires of power and status. They probably believe they are the smartest in the room so it can be difficult to have a debate with them.
capricorn moon: they are stressed 28 hours a day. Inside they live according to what duties they feel they have. Not everything is negative and this can be draining to them and everyone around them. Cold emotionally too and can turn icy when the world doesn’t fall to their feet and give them what they want.
aquarius moon: can be fake as **** lol. God complex too and they cannot hide it. Yall probably rely on many vices to help you get through the day. I would advise you guys to listen to people once in a while, you do not know everything. Lies for the fun of it.
pisces moon: yeah, victim complex to the max. Will turn on you to make you look like the perpetrator in any situation. Blames the world because they don’t want to accept that maybe they can cause chaos if their emotions aren’t in check. They can be cruel too, especially when you least expect it and definitely don’t deserve it, but don’t worry, they will come back to you and act like everything’s okay!

Poppets are a very popular way of typically conducting baneful magic – however, in this spell, the poppet will be representing yourself, and you will be performing sympathetic magic to increase your success and luck!
This spell is to help aid you in achieving goals and success in any endeavors you may be attempting right now. I recommend carrying out this spell during a full moon, and/or on a Sunday. Of course, feel free to tweak this spell and its components as needed to better suit your needs/practice! This spell is a great beginner spell for sympathetic magic, and you can use this as a template if you wish to create any other poppet spells in the future.
Materials:
Wax warmer along with wax (in the color of your choice), or a candle (in the color of your choice) with a way to collect/use the melted wax. I personally used a mix of green and gold wax, as those colors typically represent abundance.
2 sheets of origami paper, 20cm x 20cm (if you only have typical printer paper, you can use scissors to cut to the correct size!)
Taglock – a piece of your hair, nail clipping, etc. You could also write your name on the poppet! (optional)
Art supplies - paint, colored pencils, markers, etc. Anything you feel comfortable using. (optional)
Mint
Chamomile
Star tarot card (optional)
Citrine
Water
Instructions:
Prepare your workspace and yourself for spellwork however you typically would. I personally like to smoke cleanse with incense, clear off my work area, and work through a guided meditation for focus. I also tend to light a candle or two that corresponds with what type of magic I’m trying to perform. During this step, be sure to turn on your wax warmer or light the candle you’ll be using for the spell.
Create your paper poppet using origami - you can follow this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDkxJi4kGz4. When folding your poppet, imagine you are pouring yourself into the folds of the poppet - your personality, your likeness, your life story, etc. Take some time to sprinkle each of the herbs (mint and chamomile) into some of the folds of your poppet as well - this step will help you “fold” success into yourself (your poppet). Instead of origami, you may also choose to instead cut out a human shape out of your paper - this is a great option if you are short on time, or have mobility/joint issues!
Once your paper poppet is complete, you may decorate it however you see fit - or choose to leave it plain. You may also choose to write words corresponding to your goals. For example: “new job”, “wealth”, “happy love life”, etc. Get creative with it - this poppet is supposed to represent you, after all! You may also add your taglock to the poppet during this step.
By now, your wax should be ready. Take your poppet and carefully dip each foot, hand, and the head into the wax. (Please be EXTREMELY careful if you are using a candle as a method for obtaining wax. And remember, wax is VERY hot!) As you dip each body part, feel free to recite the following (or come up with your own):
Submerge these hands in abundance; these feet in opportunity; And this head in gratitude for what’s to come.
Before the wax dries, sprinkle a bit more herbs on the wet wax to further “glue” success to yourself (your poppet). Be sure to hold onto your poppet as the wax dries before moving onto the next steps; taking care not to touch the wax as it dries.
Once the wax is nice and solid, set your poppet down on your Star tarot card (optional) and add your citrine and herbs to a bowl of water. Dip your fingertips in the bowl, and anoint your poppet with a bit of water. Be careful not to completely get it wet, as the poppet will obviously begin to fall apart - the goal is to just give it a light misting/sprinkle of water.
Finally, the ritual is complete! You may feel the urge to hold onto the poppet until your success is evident. Stash it on your windowsill or somewhere that sees a lot of foot traffic or sunlight – perhaps on your mantle or by your front door. If you’re in the broom closet, you could stash it in your daily bag/purse or wallet. Once you feel you’ve achieved the success you expected, you may dispose of the poppet in the garbage.
Sun (warmth, power, strength) - Palo Verde tree, for it’s unique photosynthesizing trunk, it’s golden flowers, and spring warmth. Chia seeds for their life-sustaining protein and hydration; lots of power in a small package. Honey Mesquite for it’s sweet golden bean pods, nourishing and plentiful.
Moon (dreams, emotion, mystery) - Datura (TOXIC) for it’s hallucinogenic powers, and dangerous visions. Star Jasmine for it’s white, sweet smelling blossoms, which bloom at night.
Mercury (healing, communication, magic, travel) - Cottonwood tree, for it’s wind-borne fluffy seed dispersal (good for wishes). Aloe Vera for it’s soothing healing properties. Citrus trees, and their acidic, immune boosting fruit. Encilia for it’s healing tea.
Venus (love, beauty, art) - Cactus blossoms for their brief but radiant beauty. Citrus blossoms, the sweetest flowers in the world. Prickly Pear fruit for it’s nourishing sweetness.
Mars (war, aggression, bravery) - Cactus thorns, for their sharpness. Cheesebush (ambrosia salsola) for it’s pungent chemical protection. Ocotillo spines for their spear shape. Mormon Tea for it’s energizing caffeine-like zing.
Jupiter (Growth, prosperity, Increase) Juniper Berries, powerfully protective like their cousin cedars. Desert wildflowers like Sand Verbena and Evening Primrose, for their lush seasonal abundance after rain.
Saturn (Purification, Binding, Reduction) -
Century Plant (agave americana) for it’s rebirth-focused life cycle. Creosote, for it’s powerful antiseptic cleansing and emetic purifying properties. Mistletoe for it’s diligent, parasitic hunger. Chiles, and their cleansing capsaisin.
Uranus (Inspiration, invention, individuality) - Lantana flower clusters; source of childhood divination games. Various succulents, with their ingenious water saving adaptations. Tumbleweeds, for their famously unique method of seed dispersal.
Neptune (Intuition, empathy, adaptability) - Ocotillo leaves, only drawn out by rain. California Sagebrush, for it’s (especially menstrual) pain relief, reliance on the rain/dormance cycle, and pleasant smell.
I’m unfamiliar with Pluto, and unsure what to associate it with. Gonna leave it out of this list.
Give me feedback, desert witches/folk!! What do you think of local plants, and the planets. Do you have correspondences different from mine? Argue them with me; I had a hard time placing sagebrush. Let’s pool ideas.
Note: I am using my client S’s chart with permission to illustrate this example. You can view my natal birth write-up for them here and purchase your own natal birth chart write-up from me over on my KoFi commissions page.
Reading natal birth chart aspects is simple but it does involve learning a new language and set of symbols. For the purposes of this, I will stick to the most used aspects (conjunction, opposition, square, trine, and sextile) - there are many more aspects involved in astrology but these are the big 5.
Let’s start with terminology:
An aspect is an exact angle made between two or more planets or points in the natal birth chart. Most aspects are tracked in groups of 30 degrees: you will see aspects of 0, 60, 90, 120, and 180 degrees talked about here today. This is because each sign in the astrological wheel has 30 degrees: starting at 0° and ending at 29°.
Aspects have an allowance - an amount of degrees difference between two planets for it to be considered in aspect to one another. These are known as orbs.
For this purpose, let’s look at the conjunction which is the easiest aspect to understand. A conjunction occurs when two planets are sitting close to each other in the horoscope.
Let’s look at S’s chart breakdown quickly
S has one conjunction in their chart: their Mars at 8° Scorpio is conjunct to their Jupiter which is at 3° Scorpio. The orb between these two planets is 5° because that is the difference between 8 and 3.
The allowed orb (how many degrees difference between planets are still considered in aspect with one another) changes depending on a lot of circumstances and is up for some level of interpretation. In general, certain aspects and certain planets are allowed wider (high number) orbs than others. For our purposes, I am going to allow an orb of 5° between planets - this will work for all of the aspects that I am going to explain to your today.
It’s worth noting that conjunctions and oppositions are allowed wider orbs, squares and trines are allowed medium-sized orbs, and sextiles are allowed smaller orbs.
Additionally, aspects to the Lights (Sun, Moon, and Ascendant) are allowed wider orbs, aspects to the personal planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars) are allowed medium-sized orbs, and aspects to the rest of the planets are allowed smaller orbs. You can see why there is a mix-and-match element to this that requires practice and discernment.
To reiterate: we will be talking about Aspects in this article as two planets that are within 5° orb of each other. What aspect that is will depend on the angle of the planets.
If you’re not an expert in geometry, angles can seem daunting at first. That’s okay - there’s a hack for that: you just need to know the interplay between the Elements and Modalities in astrology.
Each sign has an element and a modality associated with it. The Elements are: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water (as they are represented in the natal chart wheel) and the Modalities are Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable. For our purposes, you don’t need to know what these things mean but if you know the element and modality for any particular sign you can figure out what signs naturally form angles to that sign.
For simplification, signs that share an element for a trine with one another and those that are in compatible elements (earth is compatible with water and air is compatible with fire) are either sextile or opposed to one another. Signs that share a modality are either opposed or square to one another. You notice that there is some overlap here - two planets that are in natural opposition with one another will share compatible elements and have the same modality as one another.
Additionally, you need to understand the basic symbols that represent each aspect.
Now, on to how to read a natal birth chart for aspects
There are two ways to read a natal birth chart for aspects, you can read the chart manually (figure out the aspects for yourself) or you can use the aspect calculator chart offered by most astrological free-chart services. I am going to teach you to do it yourself first because this allows you to set the orb which you are calculating rather than having to rely on an orb set by a machine that you may or may not agree with.
If we look at S’s chart above, we can see that they have Mars at 8° Scorpio. With an orb of +/- 5°, we would consider any planet to be in aspect to her chart if it is at 3°-13° of any sign. So to get really dirty about it, we can look at her planetary breakdown above and see that the only planets within a 5° orb of her Mars are: Ascendant in Pisces, Venus in Leo, Jupiter in Scorpio, and the North Node of the Moon in Cancer.
For our purposes, we are only looking at the most important aspects so those that are conjunct, opposed, square, trine, or sextile to S’s Mars in Scorpio. We know that Scorpio is a fixed water sign - that is the element and the modality. Comparing that to our planets listed above - we know that water elements are trine to one another so Mars is trine to their Ascendant in Pisces and the Nodes in Cancer, and signs that share modality but not elements (Scorpio and Leo here) are square to one another so their Mars is square to Venus. (We already covered that their Mars is conjunct Jupiter above)
Now let’s look at how the computer broke down S’s Mars aspects.
I still sometimes find charts like this funky to read and I’ve been studying astrology for over 20 years so if it looks incomprehensible, that’s totally okay. That’s why I want to teach you how to read aspects on your own rather than relying on charts like this which give you all of the information but none of the details.
This has charted every aspect between S’s planets at orbs pre-determined by the computer. It gives you no sense of what are the more important aspects. It does give you the orb degree down to the seconds in each box but as you can see there are orbs as great as 9° listed in this chart which is far wider than we are looking at.
To read this chart, you need to line up the two planets that you are looking to determine the aspect between. As the Sun is the most important “planet”, it is the first collum and you get to see all of the aspects that S’s Sun makes by following that collum down. You can see by the empty square that S’s Sun and Mars are not in aspect with one another.
Since here we’re looking at S’s Mars, we can skip down to the Mars symbol and read it left-right and top-down. The computer agrees that S’s Mars makes a square to Venus with a 4° orb, a conjunction with Jupiter with a 4*° orb, trines to the Ascendant and lunar nodes with a 4° orb, and an aspect that we’re ignoring for the purposes of this discussion. Good, we did that right.
I suggest if you are starting out trying to read aspects in a natal birth chart that you start in this way. You decide on an orb (here 5°), you look to see if you see aspects on the general list, and then you check your work with the aspect chart.
Further Details
Let’s talk for a minute about the aspects. I’m not going to go into details about the meaning behind each aspect here - that’s its own post. But let’s talk about the angle and how we can cheat to find them.
Conjunctions occur when 2 planets or points occupy the same space in the natal horoscope wheel. They will most often, but not always, be in the same sign as one another. A stellium is the word used when a conjunction includes more than 2 planets.
Sextiles occur when 2 planets are within 60 degrees of one another. They will most often, but not always, occur between signs that share compatible elements (earth and water or air and fire). Most times they are found between signs that have one sign in between the two of them.
Squares occur when two planets form a 90-degree angle with one another. These most often, but not always, occur between planets that share a modality (cardinal, fixed, or mutable) but are not compatible elements. A t-square occurs when a planet makes squares to both signs that it would naturally be square to - a t-square is actually made up of an opposition and two squares but that is somewhat beyond the scope of this discussion.
Trines occur when two planets for a 120-degree angle with one another. These most often, but not always, occur between two planets that share an element with one another. A grand trine occurs when a planet forms a trine with two other planets or points in the chart in both of the other two signs of its element - in S’s chart above, you will find a water grand cross between the north node in Cancer, Mars and Jupiter in Scorpio, and their Ascendant in Pisces.
Oppositions occur when two planets form a 180-degree angle from one another (aka are opposite to each other on the horoscope wheel). This most often, but not always, occurs between two signs that share a modality but are in compatible elements. A grand cross occurs when there is an opposition in the natal chart that forms natural squares with a second opposition in the natal chart.
After a while of studying astrology, you will naturally have memorized what signs naturally make these angles with each other which will help you to do aspects on the fly.
The Main Complication
The above works most of the time. The problem, of course, is that signs do not exist in a vacuum and one sign always leads to the next sign of an incompatible element. Our horoscope wheel starts with Aries and goes fire->earth->air->water->fire all the back around to the last sign of Pisces which then starts the cycle over.
That means that any planets that are close (let’s stick with our example of 5 degrees) to the edges of a sign may form aspects that differ from our cheat examples above.
The hardest thing for astrology beginners to remember is that 29° of one sign is directly next to 00° of the sign after.
I will use my own chart as an example here since S’s does not contain this. In my chart, my Venus at 29° Gemini and my Mars at 1° Virgo are sextile (~60° of one another) even though they are not in compatible elements (Gemini being air and Virgo being earth). The orb between them is 3°.
*the computer got more technical and called it 4° rather than my rounding of 5° due to seconds, but I digress

I hope that was helpful. I tried to break this down to its simplest parts but may have missed something so feel free to comment or send me asks for any clarifications that you feel you still need.

Hi gorgeous Solar Kids! In this pt.III of my observations serie I’ll discuss some notes I’ve spotted in some of the charts i studied. I’ll even link (the underlined words/phrases you’ll find scrolling down this post) some useful info to make this post more informative. Enjoy! ♡︎
☼ ⟶ Sun/Moon/Venus - Neptune Aspects (especially hard aspects) tend to idealize and romanticise their loved ones and people around them a lot, sometimes even their own selves to a point of disillusionment.
☼ ⟶ Cancer Placements (especially big 3/6) tend to close themselves in their own safe “shell” when anxious, scared, or afraid to hurt someone, they generally turn into defensive mode trying to protect themselves or people around them.
☼ ⟶ Moon Square/Opposite Uranus often feel their family environment to be erratic, very turmoiled, ups and downs, sometimes too dynamic sometimes too still, disputes and peace, often they in fact develop a problem with boredom or quiet places/people hence they’re not properly used to it.
☼ ⟶ Chiron in Sagittarius/9H often struggle with their life philosophy, and may face hardships and healing especially during college/higher education years, some of them even choose not to pursue a higher education and rather pack a bag to travel in a van or something.
☼ ⟶ Pluto in the 5H people usually don’t like one night stands or are rather uninterested in those non-committal situations. These people want your complete attention, commitment, intensity, they want to know your secrets, your trauma, your life, they want to get into you fully, not just for a few hours.
☼ ⟶ Mars in the 6H (or making hard aspects to the 6H) often face a lot of turmoil in the workplace, rather it manifesting with diatribes with colleagues or a highly competitive workinf field. Same thing can happen with Mercury in the 6H (or making hard aspects to the 6H)
☼ ⟶ Taurus Placements have a problem with “letting go” as much as ScorpioPlacements, they get very attached and struggle to go on after something ends. Holding grudges or being particularly nostalgic/melancholic is quite common to see in those placements. Once they find their comfort they struggle to get out of it.
☼ ⟶ People with 10H Stelliums tend to be very active in the political/administrative environment, either being very opinionated about it or just (for example) managing and voicing school protests, they naturally emerge as leaders or become popular for their responsible aura.
example (1) : my ex boyfriend joined a university organization which stood for the rights of students as soon as he entered uni and was elected as one of the leaders.
example (2) : my sister became the head of her classroom in high school as soon as she arrived, and now manages to resolve all the administrative things participanting actively in the school’s management
☼ ⟶ Aquarius/Aries/Scorpio Mars are usually the most interested in military or police/investigation/security services - related jobs.
☼ ⟶ Many writers have Gemini/Virgo & 3H/9H Placements, as well as watersigns and strong Mercury/Venus or Mercury-Venus/Jupiter Aspects
☼ ⟶ Mars in the 11H may struggle with their knees, such as knee pain or irritation/inflammation to the knee tendons.
☼ ⟶ 2 of the most underrated tools for future spouse predictions are the DC Persona Chart and horary astrology.
☼ ⟶ Saturn in the 7H often go years without a partner and then meet one that they wil most likely marry after a while. I knew many people with this placement who just dedicated part of their life to their career first and then committing only after getting their job/graduation.
☼ ⟶ 2H in Gemini (or in mutable signs) don’t like the idea of having a single source of income for the rest of their lives, they’re very likely to find online earning sources such as copywriting/selling online/starting tiktok or a website, they may even enjoy having multiple jobs or a lot of variation and stimulation in the workplace.
☼ ⟶ Sun - Pluto hard aspects often get labeled with a “bad rep” for absolutely no reason or stupid ones, they may usually experience people fearing them and talking the most absurd stories behind their back, they for sure exude a very “don’t fuck with me” energy.
☼ ⟶ Sun or Moon conjunct/trine/sextile Jupiter are the real “lucky syndrome” blessed out there, especially if their sun or jupiter are well placed in the chart.
☼ ⟶ People with Sagittarius Degrees (9° & 21°) on Venus/Moon/ASC usually have softer features to her appearance, such as round cheeks, fuller body, their overall appearance has a soft aura.
☼ ⟶ Gemini/Virgo MC are some of the most likely to enjoy corporate/office works or just working around pens and papers a lot. They’re even good at analytics, statistics, sometimes math… Those jobs which require a hiring phase.
☼ ⟶ Many Squares in a Chart often result in quiet individuals, reserved people who like to face their struggles silently by themselves without asking for help, sometimes at their own expenses, they’re often the: “I’ll do it all alone” type.
☼ ⟶ Moon Square/Opposite Saturn often have a bony complexion to their body, these people may not necessarily be naturally skinny but their bodies have a certain sharpness and composure to them, a dry aura, they may even struggle with dry skin. I’ve noticed they also have very symmetrical features, a defined jaw and sharp chin, also being quite tall in height or looking taller than they are.
celebs with Moon Sq. Saturn : Kate Middleton (left), Fergie, Blake Lively (right)
☼ ⟶ A lot of Taurus Risings attract or are generally more attracted by people in power positions or that just exude authority and an aura of professionalism and composure, such as police officers, military people, CEOs, those who work for the government and so on…
☼ ⟶ On the other hand people with Scorpio Rising attract or may be more attracted to people who are more creative, gentle, or generally who exude an aura of elegance and sophistication, people working around food, models, artists of all kinds, teachers…
☼ ⟶ the stereotype of Sagittarius Moons (or Moon at 9° & 21°) being happy-go-lucky is quite not so realistic in many ways. Jupiter (ruler of Sagittarius) is the planet of excesses, abundance, both in good & bad ways, so these people often experience emotions with great ups and downs, it’s either all roses and rainbows or darkness and goth churches. They often have difficulty handling their emotions properly and may have an “exaggeration problem” going on, making the smallest things seem gigantic and the gigantic things small.
☼ ⟶ Capricorn Placements (especially Big 3 & 6 ) often have a chronic need for data and certainty to the point they block out of nowhere because they’re not ready to risk on whim, they always need something factual to rely on for their actions, it’s very rare for a capricorn to act impulsively, they’re not at ease if that risk isn’t calculated.
☼ ⟶ Mars in the 1H/8H may be the most passionate and forceful people out there but their coldness under fire is somehow incredibly paradoxical. They seem to find clarity even in the worst chaos and I genuinely think that’s hot.
☼ ⟶ Aquarius Moons/2H in Aquarius/Aquarius Moons may have very weird or picky taste in food matters, they may like unusual food or just into innovative cooking practices.
☼ ⟶ Taurus Placements are very sensitive to smell, taste and all sensory feelings, they’re the ones irritating about their clothes itching or pointing out a specific smell in a crowd.
☼ ⟶ Martian/Plutonic heavy energy or Dominant (check my post about dominants clicking here!) tend to have a darker clothing style, they may wear black & red/dark red a lot, also having sharp makeup done or dying their hair darker/reddish.
☼ ⟶ Venusian heavy energy or Dominant (check my post about dominants here again) can also indicate a tendency to dress in pinkish tones, of very feminine style with soft fabrics, lots of jewelry, being sensual and somehow elegant with their perfumes always on.
☼ ⟶ People with moon below the ascendant line (1st to 6th House) are likely to be night-owls, while people with moons above the ascendant line (from 6th to 12th House) tend to be more of day people.
☼ ⟶ Moon at Virgo Degrees (6° & 18°) can indicate hypocondriac tendencies or being a clean freak (or just labeled as such), these people can often be obsessed with having everything perfectly under control, their standards of perfection are extremely high almost at the cost of their own mental health.
☼ ⟶ Chart ruler Retrograde (Rx) can indicate an introspective, quieter and reserved nature, a tendency to introversion, self-analysis and overthinking, especially if your chart ruler is Mercury.
What’s your Chart Ruler?
Your chart ruler is simply the planet which rules over your ascendant sign.
